Khaike paan Benaras waala...
Anupam Kher on paan, partying and the good things of life.
Anupam Kher loves "Indian" food, and a paan "is a traditional way to round off a meal" for the actor-filmmaker who considers it a "delicacy rather than an addiction.
Having a paan is a way of celebrating a good, happy meal for Indians. It shows the spirit of festivity," he says. "For instance, a paan could be sweet even without supari.

I like that one," Anupam says.
However, he goes on to add that he doesn't have "a fetish for all this. I am not a paan addict not because it's bad for health but because I believe in being high on life than on booze and drugs!"
Does he drink occasionally? "I am a social drinker," he likes us to believe who "drinks to oblige friends at a party." How often does he party? "I am not a party animal, I am past that age.
I rather like to spend quality time with my son Sikander." And Anupam is okay with Kher Jr's "boozing and staying out late at night as long as he knows his limits."
But life is not all about paan and partying for Kher. He likes to begin his day early by "going for a morning walk." And loves to "read anything from a Hindi publication to Time magazine... anything that I can lay my hands on.
You will never find me lazing around when I am not shooting. I like to keep myself occupied," he signs off.
